Kids Preferred – Toy Partner

Kids Preferred, Inc. (KPI) was founded in 1983 by Louis Premselaar. A visionary with a long family history in the toy business, Premselaar helped grow KPI into one of the largest plush toy manufacturers in the world. The Company is known for bringing superior quality, uniquely designed products to the marketplace under its own brand and through private label programs such as Scholastic Entertainment, Build-A-Bear Workshop™, and Toys “R” Us® Animal Alley, just to name a few.

In 2002, Kids Preferred LLC-an award-winning division of KPI-was founded by Louis Premselaar, Larry Allberg, and Laura Perks to serve the specialty, juvenile, gift, and better department store trade. The Company’s distinctive soft and plush toys and gifts are marketed under the Company’s own Kids Preferred™ brand and through licensed brands including Amazing baby™, asthma & allergy friendly™, The World of Beatrix Potter™, Between the Lions™, Charlie and Lola™, Elmer, Emily Goes Wild, Guess How Much I Love You™, Harley-Davidson®, Madeline™, The Snowman™, and Spot™.

Kids Preferred is headquartered in East Windsor, NJ and has offices in New York City, Hong Kong and Shanghai. The Company distributes its top quality products throughout the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand

The soft and cuddly plush toys are made with soy fibers and non-toxic dyes. Soy is a readily renewable resource and the packaging is made from recycled paperboard. The Greenzys are made in socially responsible factories that take care to preserve and conserve.

Arbor Day Foundation – Non Profit Partner

The Arbor Day Foundation is the largest nonprofit tree-planting organization in the world, with nearly one million members and countless supporters planting more than 10 million trees each year. The Foundation’s mission is to inspire people to plant, nurture and celebrate trees.
 
The Foundation and its members and partners help people plant and care for trees and encourage everyone to celebrate Arbor Day, the world’s first environmental holiday.
 
Since 1972, the Arbor Day Foundation has worked hard to fulfill its mission to plant trees. The Foundation began out of the centennial anniversary of Arbor Day, and since then the Foundation and its members have planted nearly 250 million trees. 
 
Through the Foundation’s Replanting America’s Forests campaign, more than 18 million trees have been planted in our nation’s forests that have been damaged by wildfire, insects and disease. 
 
The Foundation annually honors more than 3,400 communities in the U.S. through the Tree City USA program, and helps connect thousands of children with the natural world with the Nature Explore program.
 
The Arbor Day Foundation is pleased to partner with The Greenzys to plant trees in our nation’s forests. By working with companies that are dedicated to helping the environment through tree-planting initiatives, the Foundation and partners like The Greenzys are making a positive impact on the world for generations to come.

Environmental Media Association (EMA) – Non Profit Partner

The Environmental Media Association believes that through, literature, television, film, music and digital, the entertainment community has the power to influence the environmental awareness of millions of people. This initial concept set the stage for our 1989 launch and it remains a core EMA tenant today. 

EMA mobilizes the entertainment industry in educating people about environmental issues, which in turn, inspires them to take action.  A pioneer in linking the power of celebrity to environmental awareness, it was EMA who invented the ‘green carpet,’ launching the concept of taking a hybrid or alternative fuel vehicle – not a limo – to high profile awards events and bringing the concept of alternative automotive technology to millions of previously unaware households.

A venerable liaison between the entertainment industry and the environmental community, our role is active and diverse. The annual EMA Awards honor film and television personalities, productions, musicians, musical tours and retailers that convey environmental messages in the most creative and influential ways. The EMA Green Seal Awards honor productions and corporate entertainment offices that go green ‘behind the scenes.’ In tandem with the Green Seal Awards, EMA offers practical guidance on how the entertainment industry and individuals can green their day-to-day lives. 

Throughout the year, we participate in and create celebrity-driven eco-focused events and salons that garner vital media and public attention. We regularly network with writers, directors and producers, helping shape plotlines that seamlessly incorporate environmental messages. The work that we have done for almost 20 years has helped inspire millions of people to reduce air pollution, ensure clean water for drinking and recreation, protect endangered species, preserve open spaces, minimize waste, promote a safe food supply (go organic!) and live more environmentally sustainable lives.
